One of the top five medical school in India is Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & research. It is commonly known as JIPMER. It was originally formed on 1st January 1823 with the name as ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ but was administrative control was taken over by the Government of India under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in 1956. It was formerly known as Dhanvantri Medical College. It is located at Pondicherry. It offers higher education in medical field and also provide the best medical care to patients. It is an institute of national importance. JIPMER also perform research activities.
JIPMER needs experienced and dedicated medical officer for its organisation and so, it has released an advertisement in its official website. Candidates with the citizenship of India can come for an interview on 16th and 17th April 2012 at Banting Hall, JIPMER, Puducherry at 8.30 AM. Candidates has to bring original and attested copies of the filled in application form in a prescribed format along with Demand Draft of Rs.500/-. Rest of the details are as given below.
Total 89 vacancies are for the post of Senior Resident for the department of Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, EMSD casualty, Medicine, Obst & Gynae, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Radio Diagnosis, Radiotherapy, Surgical Oncology and Surgery. This post is on tenure basis for a period of 1 year.
Eligibility Criteria: For the above post, candidates should not be more than 33 years of age. PG degree/ diploma in the respective discipline is the minimum qualification required.
