Union Public Service Commission, Popularly known as UPSC, an authorized central agency which organizes various competitive examinations in the country. As of now, UPSC is inviting applications for a Combined Medical Service Examination 2012 for the recruitment to services / Posts. The CMS Exam will be held at various cities across the country on 17th June, 2012. There are 702 vacancies of different medical Posts to be filled in various government Departments after Declaration of result.

Eligibility Criteria for CMS Exam 2012
  • Age Limit: Below 32 yeas as on 01/01/2012. Upper age limit of SC/ST Candidates is relaxable by 5 years and 3 years in case of OBC Candidates
  • Educational Qualifications: To appear in CMS Exam 2012, candidates must be qualified in MBBS Final Written & Practical Examination. Those Candidates who have appeared or going to appear in MBBS Final year examination may also apply. To know more in this context, go through the detailed advertisement
Mode of Payment: SC / ST / PH & all Female Candidates are free from payment of application fees but all other candidates need to pay of Rs.100 which can be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India. Payment of application fees can also be made through NET Banking, Using Debit/Credit Card (Master Card / Visa).

How to apply: Before applying online for UPSC Medical Service Exam 2012, candidates must ensure their eligibility for the examination. Online application for UPSC CMS Exam can be made from the website http://upsconline.nic.in by the last date 23/04/2012 till 11.59 pm. Online application comprised of two Parts; Part-I Registration & Part-II Registration.

  • Part-I Registration: Open the Link of Part-I Registration, Fill up online application format with Basic Details, Communication Address, Email as well as all required details and follow the further instructions. A Pay-in-Slip with Unique Registration Number will be generated after Part-I Registration. Take a Copy of Pay-in-Slip, and deposit appropriate amount to the designated bank and get payment details
  • Part-II Registration: Open the Link of Part-II Registration, Enter Registration Number & Date of Birth, Now Put Payment Details, Upload Photographs and Signature and submit.
Note: At the time of Part-II Registration, Candidates can make payment through NET Banking or using Credit / Debit Card
